The Checkpoint

The world is ending and you drew the short straw.
Now you must operate this vault's surface checkpoint.
Not only that, you also need to vet refugees for... the parasites.
And well, the apocalypse always arrives on short notices.
But fret not, we managed to gather a handful of things to test refugees.

No need to worry so much!
The reports say that those items will work!
We'll just have to see if you have the right guts or smarts to figure out the unlucky from the ones who mimicry.
Now, up you go. We'll call you once you're up there for details.

<The checkpoint>
This game is inspired by the like of papers please and other "vetting" games.
The goal is simple. Open the gate, interrogate and decide their fate.
But the catch is, the ones you don't want to let in are learning and getting good at imitation.

/Small lore bit\
The parasites The parasites are beings who survive by taking control of a beings brain and body. They do so in this manner:
-Enter body through the cavity, mouth, ear, nose, etc.
-Steal part of the hosts DNA and injects their own as replacement for better intrusion.
-Make their way to the brain. -Plant themselves into the conscious part of the part.
-Kill the host while keeping the body alive.
-Tap into memories.
-Re-inject a more potent dose of DNA for DNA overriding.

-Take control of motor functions.,

-Play pretend.
This process is incredibly quick and can happen overnight but once a parasite has entered the body, it's over
They have, as one may have understood, the capability to steal and inject DNA.
This is how they survive, by taking DNA they adapt their body so other bodies don't fight them BUT something happens when one jumps too much from host specie...
What is their goal?
Simple!
Reproduction.

They cannot reproduce on their own, so they must take over bodies and hijack their DNA to be able to produce more of their kind
(whether this process is violent or matter very little to them).
Now it's your job to ensure the survival of the Human (like) race! Good luck!
